Lemon Grove Refuge is a safe haven for women with or without children who have suffered domestic abuse.

Lemon Grove Refuge provides safe temporary accommodation and support to women fleeing an abusive relationship.

The refuge is purpose built and offers self-contained accommodation with support workers on site 24hours a day.

Support staff understand that coming to a refuge can be daunting but staff are always on hand to support women through their time at the refuge and offer help and support with;

  • Housing Applications

  • Registering with GP/Dentist

  • Accessing Legal Services

  • Schools

  • Counseling

Every women coming to the refuge will have an individual support plan which will be tailored to their individual needs and developed according to their aspirations and goals. 
Lemon Grove recognizes the impact of domestic abuse on children and young adults and we have 2 Children’s Support workers who will provide support to children and young people coming to the refuge.

Children and Young People’s support staff work with children in 1-1 sessions in identifying any additional support needs.

They also provide a wide range of structured group activities and outings aimed at bringing emotional well-being to the children and young people.

Well Equipped kitchen offers space to prepare and cook meals with ample utensils and storage cupboards.

Living/Dining Room equipped with dining table and chairs as well as comfortable seating.

The Playroom offers a safe, clean and secure environment where children can be themselves and have fun.  The room also has a computer with internet access.
